Meet Summer

Authentic & Expert Care

Thank you for being here. At my core, I’m a lifelong learner, fascinated by how the body carries our stories. Especially the stories written through pain and recovery. My work is about unraveling those patterns and helping people rediscover ease in their movement.

In October of 2009, I tore my right anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). I had knee surgery that December and by the end of the spring of 2010, after I had “completed” physical therapy and still felt disconnected to my body, I decided I needed to understand the why and how of what happened to me.

I quickly went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (the study of human movement) with an emphasis on Exercise Science.

I graduated from Humboldt State University magna cum laude in 2016 and by 2021, I was a certified massage therapist, able to learn even more about how we move, and how to recover when we fail to move. So I did.

I’ve since taken trainings in John Barnes’ Myofascial Release and that approach remains my biggest influence to this day. However, I have also acquired skills from the foundations of foot reflexology, external and intraoral techniques for the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and medical massage training, all of which come into play during my individualized bodywork sessions.

I realized after compartmentalizing the mind-body-spirit for so long, as many westerners are taught, integration of all the parts is the most effective way to maintain long-term fascial freedom.

I thought healing was linear and logical, but nothing about the human body is completely objective. The more I study hands-on pain relief techniques and human movement, the more I come to see that healing is cyclical, spherical, an infinite spiral.

All in all, understanding how to get out of pain and how to move freely (and without fear) are undoubtedly my greatest passions.

The combination of extensive education, skills gained through experience, and an intentional practice fueled by positive self-motivation enables me to provide healing spaces for anyone seeking to move with ease. With my guidance, you can learn how to let down your guard, get into your body, and find your flow again.
